ROBERT.
Partner – GDC No: 60657. Dr Robert Bland qualified in 1985. Robert holds the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons, the Diploma of Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practice of the Royal College of Surgeons, a Masters degree in Implant Dentistry and a Masters degree in Medical Law. Robert is also a Fellow of the newly formed College of General Dentistry.
Robert carries out high quality general and cosmetic dentistry and has a special interest in Implant dentistry. When he is not at the practice, Robert lectures on the subject of dental implants and mentors young dentists who are just beginning to place their own implants. Robert has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship award of both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. He acts as an Expert Witness at the General Dental Council’s fitness to practice hearings as well as providing expert opinion in dental litigation cases.
JAKE.
Partner – GDC No: 271487. Dr. Jake Simpkin is our part-time associate Dental Surgeon. After graduating in Biological Science and obtaining a PGCE Jake initially taught Science at Secondary School.
Although he enjoyed teaching Jake decided that dentistry was where his ambitions lay. Since qualifying in dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire he has worked in Poulton-le-Fylde and Blackpool. Jake has a calm and relaxed approach with patients and prides himself on putting people at ease. When not at the practice Jake enjoys keeping fit and active.
LUCIE.
Dental Hygienist / Therapist – GDC No: 193082. Lucie is an experienced and gentle dental hygienist/therapist.
Outside of work, Lucie rears claves on her husband’s family farm, and also enjoys baking. Lucie is also involved in the administration for Preston Grasshoppers Girls Rugby Team, and North West Roses Girls Rugby Team, which her daughter, Sadie, plays for.
GILL.
Practice Manager / Dental Nurse – GDC No: 221706. Gill has worked with Robert for many years.
Throughout this time she has gained many qualifications including :- National certificate in dental nursing (Liverpool dental hospital 2000). Dental Implant nursing (Sheffield university 2001). Dental sedation (Chorley 2003) and Radiography (Salford university 2004). She has also gained qualifications in reception, team leading and practice management. Gill is also an expert witness for the General Dental Council.
Emma.
Dental Nurse – GDC No: 111659. Qualified in 1999 at Manchester Dental Hospital where she obtained national and hospital certificates.
In 2002 she completed a further qualification in dental radiography. Emma is a registered dental nurse with the General Dental Council and regularly participates in further
training courses.
Danielle.
Danielle Waistle – Dental Surgeon – GDC No: 284384.
After qualifying in dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire Danielle continued in general dentistry while also focusing on becoming an Authorised Provider of Facial Aesthetics & DermaPen4.
Danielle is considerate, patient and prides herself in looking after her patients with the greatest of care.
Aimee.
Aimee Duerden – Dental Nurse – GDC No 328596.
Aimee qualified in 2025 having obtained her NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing.
Since qualifying as a dental nurse, Aimee has become a great asset to our team and will be adding to her qualifications with post registration courses.
